While true that we cannot leave all diseases in the hands of nature, there are certain medicines we can replace with natural products that will not further damage our bodies.

Because nowadays it seems like we only go to the doctor and only worry about our health when we notice that something is not right. And when this happens, the first thing we do is take chemicals so we can get back to our old fast-paced lifestyle as quickly as possible.

And as the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure. The first thing is to take care of ourselves. Just because we don’t have any symptoms doesn’t mean that we don’t have to be careful about what benefits and what harms our bodies. And taking drugs just because they are the fastest way is not the best option.

So here are our suggestions to replace the most common medicines:

Paracetamol, vicodin or oxycodone
Analgesics to relieve the pain, the most consumed in the world.
We can replace them with ginger, cayenne, celery, tumeric, walnuts, dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, or berries.

Statin, Lipitor, Zocor, Simbastatin, Crestor

In a previous post, we told you about the two types of cholesterol, and how to reduce it with Colestal and Colestatol.

And of course, a good diet is the foundation for keeping it in top condition. Walnuts, apples, beans, pepper, garlic, fish, green tea, tumeric, cranberry and tomato are all good.

Lisinopril, Prinivil, Zestril, Norvascc, Amlodipine

These are some drugs used to reduce blood pressure and hypertension.

And we can avoid them with foods with high contents of vitamin C, magnesium (nuts, pumpkin, leafy green vegetables…), and potassium (mushrooms, bananas, oranges, potato…).

Synthroid
For hypothyroidism.

We can ingest foods that contain sodium like fish in general, parsley, radishes, eggs, and fruits like cranberries, strawberries and bananas.
As well as those that contain iron, selenium and zinc; and have an active life by doing at least 20 or 30 minutes of exercise every day.

Prisolec

Stomach protectors or antacids, generally used to prevent gastritis, ulcers and reflux.

You can substitute them with probiotics, broccoli, marshmallow tea, glutamin, aloe vera or pickle.

Azithromycin

Or some type of antibiotic that contains it. And they normally tend to have quite a few side effects, including nausea and loss of appetite.

The best thing to avoid them is to flood your body with vitamin D, or take garlic, which is considered a natural antibiotic. Foods rich in nicotinamide are another option (salmon, sardines…), green tea, oregano oil or probiotics.

Glucophage or metformin

For diabetes.

We can replace them with walnuts, black tea, chia seeds, vinegar, cinnamon, broccoli, spinach, red grapes, or oats.
