These days, many people have joined the trend of making detox shakes. But do we really know why they are so good?

This trend aims to clean the body, purifying it each day by consuming shakes and juices based both on vegetables and fruits.

Although one of the main problems is the belief that these shakes will help us lose weight quickly. We shouldn’t confuse the issue. What they are is a healthy and easy way to give our bodies great foods that will help us feel better.

Chlorophyll is one of the key ingredients, as it is one of the best natural detoxifiers and is found in all leafy-green vegetables (spinach, lettuce, parsley, cilantro, chard…).

Another important ingredient is citrus fruits, especially lemon, due to its vitamins, and its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, as well as being a well-known diuretic.

And, of course, any type of seasonal fruit will provide us with nutrients.

After understanding that these shakes are not miracle diets, but are instead natural foods that our bodies need, the best advice is to give them a try and verify the results yourself.

We will give you a few recipes below and encourage you to try one… or three!
